AEP Project - Educational Sponsorships
Sponsorship Recipients with AEP Volunteer
What is the purpose of the AEP Sponsorship?
AEP sponsors students, ages 12 to 22, members of the Amos Youth Centre, who cannot afford school tuition. All of these children have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Some are also victims of HIV/AIDS. Many of them now live with older siblings or grandparents, by themselves or are the head of the family themselves. All students sponsored by AEP truly suffer from hardship. Without our financial support they would have no other option but to drop out of school. All sponsored students are active members of the Amos Youth Centre where they participate in various activities and help with younger children.

Tuition costs $120 per year (less than 40 cents a day) for a student to go to School. It costs $1500 per year for tuition ($4 a day) for a student to go to College. AEP is also helping to pay for the students' uniforms and other expenses.

AEP is currently sponsoring 60 orphans for school (grades 8 to 12) and 7 for college for the 2008 School year. Funding these scholarships was made possible by generous donations of Philadelphia area individuals and organizations.
